A note about downloading the GPX files for your Garmin. This is the first time I have worked with pre-planned routes on my Garmin and discovered this quirk.
To download the route, right-click on the link and select "Save Target As...". On my PC, it wants to save the file in XML format. Choose "All Files" under the "Save as type:" option and add then add a .GPX extension to the name so that file is saved in a format that a Garmin can read.
I have tried to download on a Mac. When we have an answer to how the Mac saves the file, we will add an update at this location.
